Role Overview

This rewarding role involves delivering person-centred care to clients across their homes, ensuring they receive the support they need with dignity, empathy, and professionalism. You’ll help clients maintain independence while providing personal, emotional, and practical assistance as outlined in individual care plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to clients with varying needs, illnesses, and disabilities.
  • Assist clients with toileting, continence management, and personal hygiene.
  • Help clients with morning and evening routines such as getting up and going to bed.
  • Administer or assist with medication in line with care plans and company policy.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of care and medication support.
  • Prepare meals and drinks in line with client preferences, nutritional needs, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Carry out light domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry, as per care plans.
  • Promote health and safety, reporting any concerns to the Field Care Supervisor.
  • Provide companionship and build meaningful relationships with clients and families.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in providing personal care with empathy and professionalism.
  • Understanding of safe medication practices and health monitoring.
  • Knowledge of safe manual handling, hoists, and mobility aids (training provided if required).
  • Strong communication and listening skills with a compassionate attitude.
  • Attention to detail in documentation and confidentiality adherence.
  • Previous care experience preferred, though full training is available.
