Veritau provides assurance services to local authorities, schools and other public sector clients, helping our clients to operate effectively, mitigate risks and comply with laws and regulations. Our main services include internal audit, counter fraud, information governance and risk management. We are owned by our member councils, meaning our work sits at the heart of the public sector. Our head office is in York, but we provide services across the country.
Location
Flexible – you can work from any of our offices or adopt a hybrid working approach. You may be required to attend our offices for meetings and training events, visit client offices or other premises, and undertake other client related activities. During the induction period, we will expect employees to work in one of our main offices for a number of days. This is to support training and learning, and to provide you with the opportunity to meet other team members.
Vacancy
We currently have a vacancy for the following role:
- Salary £26,403 - £31,537 (depending on qualifications and experience)
- Location – flexible
- Contract - permanent
We are looking for an Information Access Officer to support our public sector clients to manage and respond to Freedom of Information and Subject Access requests. This role sits within Veritau's information governance team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of high quality services to our clients.
- Provide advice and guidance to clients.
- Coordinate responses, update systems and prepare reports.
- Communicate regularly with those people and organisations requesting information.
Qualifications:
- Administrative experience, preferably within the public sector.
- Experience of handling Freedom of Information and Subject Access requests (advantageous, but training will be provided if required).
- Ability to manage one's own time.
- Good working relationships with clients.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
Closing date 4th Feb. Interviews w/c 2nd March.
Benefits include membership of a generous pension scheme and 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days after five years of service. We also offer flexible working arrangements, including the possibility of hybrid working.
