Veritas Careers is recruiting for an Established Dealer Group with a requirement for a Technician to join their busy volume dealership. The Technician will work in a busy preparation centre working alongside a variety of specialist teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilising mechanical knowledge to carry out repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including clutch and cam belt replacement.
  • Repairing vehicles from brake pads and tyres to oil and filter checks.
  • Performing minor electrical work as required.
  • Carrying out vehicle servicing, general maintenance, electrical diagnostics and other diagnostics.
  • Inspecting mechanical condition of vehicles against set parameters.
  • Performing technical vehicle assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to high standards of care.
  • Positive, can-do attitude and teamwork orientation.
  • Passion for learning and keeping up with industry innovations.
  • Experience of doing PDIs, preparation, routine maintenance, fault finding and a ‘right-first-time’ mindset.
  • Strong technical background and experience as a motor vehicle mechanic in a similar role.
  • Ability to carry out repairs efficiently and to a high level of quality.
  • Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
  • Qualified diagnostic technician, preferably multi-brand.
  • Fully trained and able to demonstrate speed and quality of work.

Salary: £42,000 per annum.
