They are looking for a dynamic Procurement Executive to join the team, ensuring they meet their high standards of quality, cost management, and product availability.
Job Purpose: The Procurement Executive will be responsible for sourcing and managing a portfolio of suppliers for both strategic and non-strategic packaging and raw materials for the manufacturing operation. The role also includes overseeing inventory, demand planning, and production planning to ensure optimal stock levels and product availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management: Identify and develop relationships with suppliers of packaging, raw materials, and finished goods, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards are met.
- Cost Management: Manage annual cost inflation for raw materials and packaging, ensuring costs are controlled within agreed targets.
- Demand & Production Planning: Work closely with the demand planning team to forecast and convert sales data into production plans, optimizing factory performance and meeting supply chain targets.
- Inventory Control: Maintain finished goods at agreed levels, minimizing product write-off and ensuring stock availability.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and manage supplier performance against agreed targets, taking corrective actions where necessary.
- Collaboration: Work alongside colleagues from sales, marketing, and operations, providing clear information on product availability and addressing shortages to maintain customer service levels.
- Compliance: Ensure product compliance with safety requirements and internal/external specifications.
- Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, contracts, and system updates in line with company policies.
Key Deliverables:
- Competitive costs for raw materials and finished goods.
- Annual cost inflation of packaging and raw materials managed to agreed targets.
- Maintenance of agreed inventory levels and product availability.
- Achievement of targeted service levels and reduction of product write-offs.
- Updated records, contracts, and compliance with company guidelines.
Education & Experience:
- Experience in FMCG procurement or supply chain, preferably within the food manufacturing sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally.
- Self-motivated and driven.
