Category / Business Analyst Overview:
A leading player in the UK food industry is seeking a Category Analyst to establish and grow strategic relationships with major retailers. This role focuses on positioning the business as the go-to expert for World Foods, driving awareness and growth for the category. The ideal candidate will bring insights and develop effective merchandising plans to increase visibility and returns for both the company and its retail partners.
Category / Business Analyst Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimise category data in collaboration with retailers and data providers.
- Drive insights for range reviews and space recommendations to boost distribution and visibility.
- Contribute to joint business plans with major retailers and identify growth opportunities for NPD and promotions.
- Prepare performance reports and trend analyses for internal use.
- Work with internal teams on trade marketing initiatives to drive sales and brand awareness.
- Monitor market share, distribution, and retail metrics.
- Analyse consumer and market data to support decision-making.
Requirements:
- Category management, trade marketing, or FMCG experience.
- Strong data analysis and Excel skills.
- Experience in developing category strategies and business solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
Benefits:
- Salary: £40 – 45K per annum DOE
- Pension: ER 3% and EE 5%
- Life Assurance: Twice Annual Salary
- Annual Leave: 25 Days
- After 12 months service: 3 Wellness Days per year to support mental health and wellbeing.
