SEN Learning Support AssistantLocation: East London Start Date: ASAP Pay: £95-120 per day
Veritas Education is partnering with SEN and specialist schools across East London to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to make a real difference supporting students with special educational needs and learning difficulties. These are full-time, term-time positions, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
We are looking for candidates with experience supporting students in an educational setting, particularly those with SEN or additional needs.
Responsibilities of the SEN Learning Support Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
- Work proactively to help students meet their academic goals.
- Encourage and motivate students to actively engage in their learning.
- Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the teacher in general learning and student development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Professional experience supporting pupils with SEN, additional needs, and learning difficulties.
- A strong understanding of special educational needs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
- Reliability and a commitment to supporting students progress.
- Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude.
- The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and independently when required.
- A relevant degree and training in SEN are an advantage
