Teaching Assistant (Year 3) - Heysham
Veritas Education are seeking an experienced and qualified Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class in a welcoming primary school in Heysham.
This is a full-time, long-term position starting week commencing Monday 2nd November, working Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:15pm, term time only.
The Role
- Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 3 classroom
- Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and interventions
- Providing both group and 1:1 support where required
- Encouraging pupil progress, confidence, and participation
- Assisting with classroom preparation and general classroom duties
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
- Has previous experience working in a primary school setting
- Experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children's learning
