Key Stage 2 Class Teacher - Rossendale
Maternity Cover | February 2027 Start | Main and Upper Pay Scale
Veritas Education is exclusively representing a primary school in Rossendale seeking a qualified Key Stage 2 Class Teacher for a one-year maternity cover post, starting in February 2027.
Applications are welcome from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers. For the right candidate, there is also the potential to take on additional Inclusion and/or SENCO responsibilities.
The role
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support progress across Key Stage 2.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom where every child can thrive.
- Assess pupils' learning and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
- Work closely with colleagues, parents and carers.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management and a commitment to inclusive teaching.
- Bring enthusiasm, creativity and high expectations for all pupils.
Experience or an interest in Inclusion/SENCO leadership would be welcomed from candidates seeking the additional responsibilities.
Appointment is subject to satisfactory references and safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
Veritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
