About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Morecambe. This is a long-term position providing one-to-one support for a pupil, using a team-based approach both inside and outside the classroom.
The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive, and confident in helping children engage with learning, manage routines, and develop independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide consistent one-to-one support for a Year 4 pupil
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider support team
- Assist with learning activities, behaviour support, and engagement
- Support the pupil during classroom lessons, small-group tasks, and outdoor activities
- Help create an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment
Requirements
- Experience working with primary-aged children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A caring, resilient, and reliable approach
- DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
