About the Role

Veritas Education is seeking a Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Year 2 pupil in a small, welcoming primary school. The pupil has additional needs but no behavioural issues, making this a rewarding and supportive role. This is a long-term position starting in January 2026 and will continue until the school appoints permanently. There is potential for the successful candidate to secure a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's individual needs.
  • Assist with learning activities and help the pupil access the curriculum.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Level 2 TA qualification (essential).
  • Must be a driver due to the school's location.
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
