Veritas Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Pendle to recruit an enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on an ongoing temporary contract. As the Year 1 Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in building strong foundations for children's future learning, delivering creative and engaging lessons that support progress in phonics, reading and writing. You will work alongside an experienced and collaborative team who are passionate about achieving the very best outcomes for every child and supporting one another to succeed.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
  • Have a strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum, including phonics and early literacy.
  • Deliver engaging, creative and well-structured lessons that inspire children to achieve.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and high expectations for behaviour and learning.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive and dedicated staff team.
  • Be committed to helping every child reach their full academic, social and emotional potential.
