Veritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and caring Nursery Practitioners to join welcoming nursery settings across Wakefield. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young children in their early years. We welcome applications from both qualified (Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years) and unqualified candidates with relevant childcare or nursery experience who are eager to develop their careers within early years education.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children's development, creating engaging learning experiences, and helping to provide a safe, nurturing environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting children's learning and development through play‑based activities
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Assisting with observations and learning journeys
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
  • Supporting daily routines and nursery activities
  • Following safeguarding and welfare procedures at all times
Requirements
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification desirable but not essential
  • Unqualified candidates with relevant nursery, childcare, or early years experience are encouraged to apply
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach
