Veritas Education is delighted to be recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner (Level 2+ / Unqualified) to join a friendly and supportive nursery setting in Wakefield. This role is ideal for someone who is building their career in Early Years and is eager to gain hands-on experience while working towards further professional development.
You will support children during their crucial early years, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Support children's learning, development, and well-being in line with the EYFS framework
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors
- Work closely with qualified practitioners and the wider nursery team
- Build positive and trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure children's safety at all times
- Working towards or holding a Level 2 Early Years qualification (or above)
- Previous experience in a childcare or early years setting is desirable
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- A willingness to learn and develop within an Early Years environment
- Basic understanding of EYFS and safeguarding practices
