Veritas Education are looking at recruiting a number of lesson supervisors to join their secondary supply staffing team across the Wakefield and Kirklees area. Veritas work with a range of different schools and trusts across the area looking for regular day to day lesson supervisors to support their students.
Responsibilities
- A lesson supervisor will help deliver pre-planned and pre-set work by the teacher in their absence, ensuring all work plans, seating plans and structures are followed.
- Ensuring students complete as much work as possible and stay on tasks throughout the lessons.
- Manage classroom behaviour and set expectations, along with following the school's behaviour policies should any students choose to not meet the classroom behaviour expectations.
- Ensure the classroom is left in a tidy and professional manner, with all work put away ready for the return of the class teacher/the next class.
A lesson supervisor is an ideal role for anyone currently studying a teaching/education-based degree looking to gain extra school experience, or anyone who is in the process of completing their PGCE/QTS and wanting direct teaching roles within education!
