Part-Time Teaching Assistant (TA2) - Reception ASD Support | Morecambe
Veritas Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant (TA2) to support a new Reception-aged pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a primary school in Morecambe from September 2026. The successful candidate will work closely with the pupil, helping them access learning and develop positive relationships within the classroom environment. The pupil responds particularly well to Makaton, so previous experience and confidence using Makaton is essential for this role.
Role Details:
- Position: TA2 - Reception ASD Support
- Location: Morecambe
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 12:00pm
- Contract: Term-time only
- Duration: Long-term position, likely for the full academic year
- Start: September 2026
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with ASD
- Strong Makaton skills and experience using Makaton in educational settings
- Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
