Teaching Assistant (Inclusion Support Worker) Location: Ilkley Position: Full-Time, Longer-Term Start Date: ASAP Salary: £85 – £100 per day We are seeking a Teaching Assistant (Inclusion Support Worker) to join one of our supportive and dynamic teams at a school in Ilkley. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with additional needs, helping them thrive in a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in the development of young people with additional needs. Work closely with the SENCo to implement tailored intervention strategies for students. Assist with the planning and organisation of learning resources to meet the needs of individual students. Support students with their academic work, particularly in core subjects, ensuring that all students can access the curriculum. Build positive, nurturing relationships with students, helping them feel valued and supported. Foster an inclusive and motivating classroom environment where every child can succeed. Assist in the preparation and delivery of interventions and small group work. Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children with additional needs (desirable but not essential). A proactive, enthusiastic, and caring approach to supporting students’ individual learning and development. Ability to build strong, positive, and long-lasting relationships with both students and staff. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCo. An understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt support accordingly.
