Job Overview: Supply Teaching Assistant
We are seeking flexible, enthusiastic, and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistants to support schools across Bolton. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a variety of educational settings and are passionate about supporting children\βs learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Assist individual pupils or small groups with learning activities, including those with additional needs.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
- Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour.
- Support pupils with personal care or mobility needs, where required.
- Supervise pupils during break times and lunch when required.
- Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times.
Qualifications:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., CACHE, NCFE) β essential.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths β essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service β essential.
- First Aid and Safeguarding training β desirable.
- Additional training in SEND, Team Teach, or similar β advantageous.
Preferable Experience:
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Experience supporting children with SEND or behavioural needs.
- Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and routines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
