Overview
SENCO position for a specialist SEND School in Greenwich. £200-£250 per day. Start date: September.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development and delivery of SEND provision across the school
- Coordinate day-to-day SEND support and ensure effective provision for all pupils
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, legislation and inclusive practice
- Support and advise staff on high-quality teaching strategies for pupils with SEND
- Monitor pupil progress, analyse data and drive improved outcomes
- Oversee EHC plans, interventions and targeted support for individual needs
- Lead, develop and deploy SEND staff, including training and performance input
- Manage relationships with parents, carers and external agencies to support pupils
- Maintain accurate records, assessments and SEND administration systems
- Promote safeguarding, inclusive practice and a safe learning environment for all pupils
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
- Previous experience in a SENCO role in a SEND provision
- Hold the NASENCO qualification
- Experience of working with children and young people with SEND
- Excellent communication skills
