We are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist independent school in Haslingden, supporting pupils aged 7-16 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a nurturing, structured, and inclusive environment where pupils are supported to overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism and SEMH needs
- Support learning activities through tailored and differentiated approaches
- Implement sensory and communication strategies to meet individual pupil needs
- Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and positive behaviour
- Support pupils in achieving their EHCP targets
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider support team
