Salary: £180 - £220 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate SEN Primary Teacher to join a specialist provision. The school will offer a bespoke educational environment for pupils with Autism (ASC) and severe learning difficulties across Key Stages 1 and 2.

This role is ideal for an experienced SEN practitioner who thrives in developing new initiatives, shaping school culture, and creating outstanding learning experiences from the ground up. You'll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing high-quality teaching and learning that promotes every child's personal, social, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to pupils with Autism and complex learning needs.
  • Contribute to the development of a broad and balanced curriculum aligned with best SEN practice.
  • Implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets.
  • Collaborate with therapists, teaching assistants, and other specialists to provide holistic support.
  • Foster a positive and safe classroom environment that encourages independence and confidence.
  • Participate in professional development, reflective practice, and whole-school initiatives.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about special education and driven to make a difference. The ideal candidate will have:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
  • A deep understanding of differentiated instruction and individualised learning plans.
  • Confidence in applying research-led educational practices.
  • A proactive approach to developing curriculum and classroom strategies.
  • Ambition to grow within a new and expanding school community.
  • Experience with the Equals Curriculum and/or SCERTS framework (advantageous).

Additional Information

Each candidate will be subject to a DBS and police check where required. A successful candidate will also provide at least two references from their previous employers.
