Role Details

  • Location: Croydon, South West London

  • Pay: £100-£120 per day (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs in small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage emotional regulation, social development, and confidence in students.
  • Manage behaviour calmly and effectively, following the school's policies and approaches.

About You

  • Previous experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
  • Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Must have an enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one).
