We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Farm Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in SW17 from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about both animal care and supporting children with special educational needs.
The successful candidate will work on the school's on-site farm, helping to care for a variety of animals while supporting pupils to engage in practical, hands-on learning experiences. You will play a key role in creating a safe, enjoyable, and educational environment where students can develop confidence, life skills, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily care and welfare of farm animals
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised farm environment
- Supporting pupils with SEN during farm-based activities
- Encouraging student participation and engagement
- Assisting staff in delivering practical learning experiences
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working on a farm or with animals
- Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
