Veritas Education are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and hands-on Caretaker to join our team on a part-time basis at an SEN School in West Drayton. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our clients' school environment by maintaining our facilities and ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming space for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general cleaning and maintenance tasks within the school premises, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and outdoor areas.
- Ensure that all school facilities are well-maintained, secure, and operational.
- Support with setting up rooms for events, assemblies, and activities.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed.
- Assist with the maintenance of school grounds, including basic gardening and litter picking.
- Respond to emergencies or urgent maintenance requests as required.
- Drive the School bus, picking up/dropping off both staff and students.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, or cleaning role (desirable but not essential).
- Good practical skills and a basic understanding of maintenance and cleaning tasks.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- A friendly and approachable manner.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- An understanding of health and safety regulations (training can be provided).

Each candidate will be subject to a DBS and police check where required. A successful candidate will also provide at least two references from their previous employer/s.
