About the Role
Veritas Education are currently recruiting Full-Time Secondary Teaching Assistants to support a range of secondary schools across Rochdale and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education who are looking to make a real impact in the classroom. You will work closely with teachers to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
- Support students with additional needs (including SEND)
- Help prepare classroom resources and activities
- Encourage student participation, confidence, and progress
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with young people (school-based or similar)
- Be patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be committed to supporting students' academic and personal development
- Hold a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
