Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Rossendale area to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a September 2026 start. This is a part-time position working Tuesday to Friday, teaching a predominantly Year 1 class alongside a small group of EYFS pupils. The school is looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing practitioner who can create an engaging learning environment and support children through this important stage of their education.
The Role
- Teaching a mainly Year 1 class with a small EYFS cohort
- Planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching in EYFS and/or Key Stage 1
- Has a strong understanding of early reading, phonics and child development
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills
- Is passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences for young children
- ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply
