Veritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Level 2/3 Childcare and Early Years Practitioners to work on a flexible daily supply basis across a range of friendly and supportive nurseries in Southwark and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for early years professionals looking for flexible work within nursery settings while gaining experience across a variety of environments. Whether you are seeking full-time supply work or just a few days each week, we can offer opportunities to suit your availability.
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will support children aged 0-5 within nursery settings, helping to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and develop through the EYFS framework.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or equivalent - essential
- Previous experience working within nurseries or EYFS settings
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- A caring, positive, and flexible approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities
- Assisting with daily nursery routines, including mealtimes and outdoor play
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and communication development
- Helping to maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment
- Working closely with nursery staff to support the needs of all children
