A warm and nurturing primary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide personalised support for a Year 1 pupil with ASD. The role will begin on Thursday 5th February 2026 and will run until the end of the academic year (July 2026).

About the Role

  • Providing 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with ASD, helping them to engage, learn, and participate in school life
  • Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team to implement tailored strategies and adapt learning activities
  • Supporting the child's communication, emotional regulation, confidence, and independence
  • Assisting with routines, transitions, and creating a calm, structured learning environment
  • Ongoing support throughout the placement from Skye Harrison, Consultant at Veritas Education

What We're Looking For
