The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 Β£ per year.

Veritas Education are working with a fantastic primary SEN provision in the East/South-East area of Leeds, who are recruiting multiple Primary Complex Needs Support staff members for September 2026.

The primary SEN provision supports over 50 learners from ages 4 to 11 years old, with a range of complex, physical, medical, communication and learning needs. With state-of-the-art facilities designed to meet the needs of each individual child, from sensory rooms, breakout areas, to interactive play stations, the school is looking for staff members to join their team in providing the best educational setting for these learners.

The Role:

  • Be confident supporting a range of needs across EY to KS2 age groups.
  • Have previous experience (in education or other sectors) working with complex learning needs, such as Autism, Asperger's, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Down Syndrome.
  • Be comfortable when it comes to personal care, changing and hygiene support for varying age groups.
  • Show real commitment, patience and care when providing the best possible support for learners with varying needs and requirements.
  • Previous knowledge and/or experience with communication needs and working with individuals who are pre-verbal or non-verbal. (Previous use of BSL, Makaton and PECS are a bonus).
  • Be able to work alongside other support staff, teachers, SLT and external professionals in creating a safe, structured and tailored learning environment to meet the requirements of all learners in the setting.

These roles are for permanent positions, starting in the new academic year of September 2026. Veritas Education will be able to assist with the application process, compliance and clearance checks, and provide essential CPD/Training prior to starting the role.
