Cover Supervisors - Day-to-Day & Long-Term North & East Leeds Immediate Start
Veritas Education is proudly supporting a number of secondary schools across North and East Leeds who are looking to expand their pool of reliable, confident, and adaptable Cover Supervisors. These roles include day-to-day, short-term, and longer-term opportunities depending on school needs. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, students, or individuals considering a career in teaching, as well as those with previous school or youth-work experience who are looking for flexible, rewarding work within local Leeds schools.
The Role
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment in line with school behaviour policies
- Support pupils to stay engaged and on task during lessons
- Confidently manage a variety of subjects and year groups across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure a smooth continuation of learning
We Are Looking For
- Confident, professional, and adaptable individuals
- Strong communication skills and a positive approach to behaviour management
- Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
- Graduates or aspiring teachers seeking classroom experience
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
