We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Chorley, supporting pupils aged 6 - 16. The role involves delivering a broad, differentiated curriculum across all subjects, tailored to meet a wide range of special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, adapted lessons across core and foundation subjects
- Teach pupils across primary and secondary age ranges with varying needs and abilities
- Implement and review EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Assess, track, and report pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with TAs, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
Requirements
- QTS/QTLS (essential)
- Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN
- Strong understanding of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties

- Calm, nurturing approach and strong classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
