The Opportunity:

Veritas are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Maths Graduate to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Haringey as a Teaching Assistant. You’ll work closely with students aged 11-16, supporting them in maths lessons and across the curriculum. This is a fantastic first step for graduates who are serious about progressing into teacher training or are considering working within education. This role will give you experience supporting students throughout Maths classrooms, as well as supporting students with SEND.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging maths lessons
  • Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with classwork, homework, and revision
  • Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Offering targeted support to students who may need extra help grasping key scientific concepts
  • Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and enrichment

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in a maths based subject
  • A genuine interest in working with young people and in education
  • Some experience with secondary-aged pupils - e.g., through tutoring, mentoring, summer schools, or previous TA work
  • A confident communicator with good organisational skills
  • A proactive, positive, and reliable approach
