Veritas Education is partnering with secondary schools in North London to recruit dedicated and adaptable Maths and Science Graduate Teaching Assistants. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, supporting students' learning, building their confidence, and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey. Roles are full-time, term-time only, and are to start in September.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting classroom learning.
  • Support the development of students' academic skills, as well as their social and emotional growth.
  • Provide targeted support to students one-to-one, in small groups, and across the whole class, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Support classroom behaviour management and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Prepare and organise learning resources to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to track student progress and implement effective learning strategies.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level in Maths or Science, or in any STEM subject area.
  • Have previous experience within a school or other education related experience.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and a professional and friendly approach.
  • Have knowledge and experience supporting children with additional learning needs.
  • School based experience preferred but not essential.
