Veritas Education is working with welcoming primary schools across Barnet seeking enthusiastic graduates to join their teams as Learning Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience with children, develop valuable skills, and explore a potential long-term career in education.
Responsibilities
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm; term-time only.
- Long-term position for the full academic year in primary schools in Barnet.
- Support class teachers with planning, delivering and assessing learning activities.
- Support pupils with learning, behaviour, and social development; assist with inclusive practices and SEN support where needed.
- Contribute to a positive learning environment and help build pupil confidence and engagement.
Requirements
- A degree in any subject.
- An interest in working with children and young people.
- Previous experience with children (school, tutoring, coaching, camps, mentoring, youth work, volunteering or similar).
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Right to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional references.
