The predicted salary is between 30000 - 33483 £ per year.
An Autism Support Practitioner will deliver a high level of tailored care and educational support to a range of children and young adults with autism and other learning needs. You will be confident in supporting a range of learners with their educational progress, developing social skills, whilst promoting self-regulation and development through a range of personalised and adapted interventions across their school day.
The SEN setting for this role is set up with fantastic facilities to help create a nurturing and creative learning environment, including sensory rooms, soft areas, interactive play stations and outdoor education facilities.
The Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children or adults with Autism and/or other learning needs.
- Have appropriate knowledge around sensory needs (Visual, Touch, Communication and Hearing) and how to implement suitable sessions for those learners.
- Be confident in managing behaviour, implementing de-escalation techniques and helping children with self-regulation.
- Able to support on a one-to-one basis, and across small intervention groups.
