Veritas Education are working with an OFSTED 'good' school in the borough of Lambeth that are offering a fantastic opportunity for a teaching assistant to join their team and develop their skills in the education sector, work good hours, in a relaxed environment with great structure support offered by the staff. The school is dynamic with an inclusive ethos which ensures there are consistently high expectations for all. In particular, the role of the parent is celebrated as the enduring educator. The focus is building a platform to enable children to become independent learners who value learning, provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment where children are valued as individuals.
Responsibilities of a teaching assistant:
- Working with children aged 2-6 operating classes indoors and outside
- Supporting child indicated learning
- Helping children with special educational needs
- Engaging with students through 3 different sessions in the day
- Treating children with respect and kindness as a teaching assistant
Job Requirements to be a teaching assistant:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- Interest in working with children (specifically with SEN)
- Experience working in childcare, informally or formally
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable for a teaching assistant:
- An honours degree (preferably Upper Second) or equivalent
