Part‑Time Year 6 Teaching Assistant – Veritas Education – Primary School Near Lancaster
Veritas Education is working with a welcoming Primary School close to Lancaster that is seeking a part‑time Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their team from April until the end of term. This is an excellent long‑term opportunity to support pupils through a key stage in their learning.
Start Date: April
Hours: 08:45 – 12:00, Monday to Friday
Location: Primary School near Lancaster
Year Group: Year 6
Contract: Long-term (through to end of term)
About the Role
The successful candidate will work every morning supporting both the class teacher and Year 6 pupils. Responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one support for targeted pupils
- Delivering small group intervention work
- Assisting the teacher with classroom activities and preparation
- Helping to boost pupil confidence and attainment in core subjects

- Experience supporting pupils in KS2 (Year 6 experience desirable)
- Strong skills in Maths and English
