Veritas are working with a fantastic school based in Roehampton, looking for a primary teacher to join a KS2 classroom after the Easter Holiday until the end of the academic year with the view to go permanent in September for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be joining the school's established Year 5 department and helping continue the enhancing of the classroom's learning and educational development.
You will be adopting the school's ethos that all pupils should thrive within a safe and happy learning environment both inside and outside the classroom. As a primary teacher, you will provide all students with a high-quality education which empowers them to acquire, demonstrate and articulate knowledge and skills to achieve their personal best. As a KS2 teacher, you will have to become a respectful and positive member of the school community. Due to the school being smaller, as a KS2 teacher, a level of flexibility would be expected to help out across the school and year groups.
This year they are almost at full capacity with classrooms ranging from EYFS up to Year 6. As a primary teacher, you will be joining a school that focuses on a set of shared values that help the students to work co-operatively and with respect. Positivity, diversity, honesty, harmony and friendship are important to all pupils, staff and parents at the school.
KS2 Teacher Responsibilities:
- Planning and teaching the KS2 curriculum to a high standard
- Driving performance within the classroom
- Ensuring targets are met and exceeded
- Managing behaviour within the classroom
The successful KS2 teacher candidate will need the following:
- The right to work in the UK
- DBS (Refunded DBS once worked a set period)
- Overseas police check if applicable
- Teaching experience or relevantly degree educated
- You must be willing to attend a registration interview and an interview with the client
