Veritas Education are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Kirklees to recruit a passionate and committed Art & Design Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative practitioner to join a supportive department and inspire students through high-quality teaching and engaging curriculum delivery.
The Role
- Teaching Art & Design across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Encouraging creativity, experimentation and independent thinking in students
- Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborating with departmental staff and contributing to wider school life
This is a part-time position (4 days per week) commencing Monday 1st June 2026 and running through to the end of the academic year.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Has recent experience teaching Art & Design in a UK secondary school setting
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts
- Has excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate learners of varying abilities
- Is reliable, professional and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners are both encouraged to apply.
