History Graduate Teaching Assistant Location: Barnet Salary: £100-£110 per day Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only Start Date: September 2025 Are you a recent science graduate with a passion for education? If you\'re considering a future in teaching and want to gain meaningful experience in the classroom, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a full-time role supporting secondary school students in a dynamic North-West London school. The Opportunity: Veritas are looking for a bright and enthusiastic History Graduate to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Barnet as a Teaching Assistant. You\'ll work closely with students aged 11-16, supporting them in History lessons and across the curriculum. This is a fantastic first step for graduates who are serious about progressing into teacher training or are considering working within education. This role will give you experience supporting students throughout History classrooms, as well as supporting students with SEND Your Role Will Involve: Assisting teachers in delivering engaging History lessons Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with classwork, homework, and revision Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment Offering targeted support to students who may need extra help grasping key scientific concepts Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and enrichment What We\'re Looking For: A degree in History(or a closely related subject) or Humanities subject A genuine interest in working with young people and in education Some experience with secondary-aged pupils - e.g., through tutoring, mentoring, summer schools, or previous TA work A confident communicator with good organisational skills A proactive, positive, and reliable approach Why This Role?
