We\’re on the lookout for a Drama Teacher to join a high school in Nelson. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a great, student-centered environment where the performing arts are valued.
About the Position:
This is a full-time, fixed-term role starting immediately and running through to the end of the school year. There is a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent in 2026 for the right candidate.
You\’ll be responsible for delivering engaging Drama lessons across multiple year levels, sparking students\’ creativity, confidence, and collaboration through performance and theatre education.
We\’re Looking For:
- QTS or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Drama at high school level
- A genuine passion for the performing arts and student success
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A collaborative approach and positive energy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
