This OFSTED-rated 'Good' school is highly regarded for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral care, and engaging KS1 curriculum that places early reading, phonics, and foundational learning at its heart.
The successful teacher will take responsibility for a KS1 class, delivering creative, well-paced lessons that support pupils' academic progress, social development, and confidence as learners. This role is ideal for a teacher who is enthusiastic about early childhood education, enjoys creating stimulating learning environments, and is committed to helping young children develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, and independence.
The Ideal KS1 Class Teacher Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply)
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, including phonics and early assessment
- A caring, patient approach with high expectations for all pupils
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
- Supporting early reading and phonics development
