We are working with a number of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools in the Crystal Palace area who are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school staff looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
The Role
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support pupils with their learning where appropriate
- Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of the day
The Ideal Candidate
- Have experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred)
- Are confident managing a classroom environment
- Have strong communication and organisational skills
- Are reliable, adaptable, and professional
- Hold (or are willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
