Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Kirklees to recruit a passionate and creative Art & Design Technology Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner who is enthusiastic about inspiring creativity and developing pupils' practical and artistic skills across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Role

  • Teaching Art and Design Technology in line with the national curriculum.
  • Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.
  • Encouraging creativity, innovation and independent thinking.
  • Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assessing, tracking and reporting on pupil progress.

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Art and/or DT at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Passionate about creative subjects and pupil development.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply.
