The Role:
Veritas Education are working with a number of special educational needs settings and complex care provisions around the Leeds area, who are looking for dedicated, passionate and varying complex needs workers.
The various settings support a range of children, from early years age groups to post 16 and young adult classes. The schools cater for varying special educational and complex needs, where they require staff to have previous experience supporting all or a range of the below needs.
- Learning Needs: Autism, Aspergers, Down Syndrome, Fetal-Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, and sensory requirements.
- Physical/Medical Needs: Mobility requirements, medication administration, moving & handling support, assisting with peg/tube feeding.
- Emotional: Behavioural management, crisis support, mental health well-being.
Previous experience is essential for this role; if you have the relevant experience (from either school settings or other sectors such as care, nursing, support work etc), please apply to the role direct.
