This OFSTED-rated 'Good' school is renowned for its nurturing ethos and strong commitment to pupils' academic achievement, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a student, providing tailored support to help them engage with the curriculum, build confidence, and develop positive relationships within the classroom. This role is ideal for a patient, proactive, and empathetic individual who is passionate about supporting children, particularly those with additional needs, within a supportive primary school environment.
Ideal 1:1 Teaching Assistant- Proven experience supporting children, particularly in a 1:1 or small-group capacity - essential
- Knowledge of strategies to support learning, communication, and behaviour
- A calm, caring, and resilient approach when working with students with additional needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Providing 1:1 tailored support to help the student access the curriculum
- Supporting the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective strategies for the student's learning and development
- Promoting the student's social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Using creative and engaging strategies to support the student's learning and confidence
- Monitoring the student's progress and providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
- Helping to maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
