Veritas Education are currently working alongside a mainstream secondary school in Camden who are looking for support staff within their science department. You will be working as part of a team alongside teachers and the senior science technician undertaking practical duties when appropriate and also support students within the classes. It is required for you to fully understand up to GCSE or A-Level Chemistry Curriculum to support accordingly.
Your duties will include:
- Preparation of materials and equipment for science lessons
- Carrying out risk assessments
- Keeping check of stock and disposing of waste appropriately
- Supporting students within the class, especially during practical sessions
The school has a supportive team of staff which will assist you during your progress within the role.
Requirements:
- Chemistry based degree
- Strong understanding up to A-Level Chemistry
- Previous experience within a laboratory/educational setting
- Ideal to have experience working within an educational setting (e.g. working with children)
- Local to Camden
- Subject to Enhanced DBS Check
