Veritas Education is exclusively recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Burnley for an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their dedicated Special Educational Needs Hub. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. Applications are welcomed from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers with a specialism or strong interest in Special Educational Needs.
The Role
- Teach a small class of 5-9 pupils within the school's SEN Hub.
- Support pupils with a range of learning difficulties and additional needs.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Lead and manage a team of two Special Support Assistants, ensuring the best possible outcomes for pupils.
- Work collaboratively with the wider school team, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A passion for Special Educational Needs and inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire, nurture and motivate pupils with a range of needs.
- Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential.
Salary
Main Pay Scale (MPS) / Upper Pay Scale (UPS) - dependent on experience.
