About the Role
As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and therapists to support pupils across the primary age range. You will help create a structured, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where every child is supported to reach their individual potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with a wide range of SEN
- Support children with needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and learning disabilities
- Assist with the delivery of tailored lessons, sensory activities, and personalised learning programmes
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction
- Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, calm, and engaging classroom environment
