Food Technology Teacher in Bolton

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Bolton seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teachers for opportunities starting in September.

The Role

• You will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop essential culinary skills, nutritional understanding and creativity within the kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
• Prepare practical lessons and manage classroom resources effectively.
• Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and a passion for food preparation and nutrition.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• A passion for inspiring young people and raising achievement.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
