About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Management Specialist to join a supportive secondary school in Dalton-In-Furness. In this role, you will work closely with staff to implement effective behaviour management strategies, support students in overcoming behavioural challenges, and contribute to creating a positive and safe school environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students develop positive behaviours and a strong commitment to ensuring all students can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage behaviour strategies to support students across all year groups.
  • Work closely with teachers to provide support for students displaying challenging behaviour.
  • Offer individual and group interventions to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Support pastoral teams in identifying students who may need additional behavioural support.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular updates and feedback to staff and parents.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture where students can thrive academically and socially.
  • Provide training and advice to staff on effective behaviour management techniques.

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working in behaviour management within a school or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of current behaviour management strategies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with behavioural challenges.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field would be desirable.
